As recently as yesterday, a circumstance triggered the Geyser attributes, while I was functioning as a Carrier.
Having received your analysis and explanation of how and why this could happen, it helped me step back and look at the situation logically.
Although the primary intention of your work is to help people with narcissists, this understanding also is very helpful when navigating daily life. It allows me to be more mindful and reminds me to give myself compassion, something withheld by narcissists in my past.
When I realized the Geyser had taken “control,” I was able to force myself to go back to Carrier and solved the problem without as much emotional angst. Very helpful to have this self actualization.
Offering a plug for the Empath Detector and follow up consultation:
My ED showed a pretty even split between Geyser, Carrier and Martyr.
I couldn’t figure out how Geyser and Carrier could work together. I did a follow up audio conference with my question.
H.G. replied promptly and very patiently explained the dynamics at work and how they manifest. Totally made sense.
For anyone who has not done the E.D., I recommend — it will unlock a lot of puzzles, and where questions still linger, H.G. is good about deciphering.
