I watched the Tea with Sam video, Leigh. Interesting discussion and dynamic, thanks for suggesting!

  2. Jade says:

I think I must have been dipping between the two channels not realising they’re separate, Leigh. I’d watched the Constance Marten and a few others there. Good to know.. more learning to do. 🧐

  3. Jade says:

Thanks very much for this recommendation Leigh and HG for another brilliant analysis. I also replayed. Great idea and way to also get the word out there more to the masses, HG. 👌

I found the psychopathic traits vs full psychopath really useful and also re attachment and his viewing family as extensions of themselves. Also really useful to also hear about drug interactions with personality disorders.

On a side note, eek, he sounded very like someone I went to school with who is now a headteacher!!!

      Hi Jade,
Have you watched Mr. Tudor’s Angels of Death series? They can be troublesome to listen to but they’re very helpful. The videos on Virginia McCullough were helpful too.

Did you know that Mr. Tudor has a youtube channel dedicated to Narcissism and Psychopathy? There’s a bunch of videos there that aren’t on his main channel. You’ll find a lot of info there.

      https://www.youtube.com/@NarcissismandPsychopathywi-x4g/videos

      1. Jade says:

Hi Leigh, Ooh I haven’t.. I hadn’t realised that about the separate channel either, thank you!

I’m currently going through when HG met this one’s wife.. it’s making me chuckle ..🤭

        1. Leigh says:

Yes, the videos where he talks about when he met TOW, made me chuckle as well.

I’ve been enjoying the Emma Watson videos. They’ve been making me a laugh as well.

          1. Jade says:

Very funny, Leigh. I’ve watched a few of those re EW too. I’m glad she’s being taken down a peg, to be honest!

          2. Jade says:

Evening HG, I know you’d have made sure this wouldn’t happen, but wondering how you made sure this one’s wife didn’t recognise you from your descriptions of meeting her pre and post Harry? 🤔

Also I’ve been feeling this for a while with all I’m learning here but especially with these MM videos.. it seems like empaths, norms and narcs don’t have that much “free will” once we become who we are.

It seems like we’re all playing things out in whatever role we are assigned / choose. Do you know what I mean? There’s an element of choice for empaths, norms and aware narcissists / psychopaths but with non aware narcissists, they’re playing it all out without even “knowing” it. It gives me so much clarity but also the sense of inevitability, if that makes sense?

          3. HG Tudor says:

            1. I have altered some details.
            2. I looked different.
            3. She is so self-absorbed she only focusses on herself.

          4. Leigh says:

            Hi Jade,
That’s interesting to think about. That’s very true that unaware narcissists are playing it out without knowing what’s really going on. I would say the same thing for unaware empaths. Until you gain clarity, you don’t know what’s really going on either. The beautiful thing about clarity is that it gives us more choices now.

          5. Dani says:

I agrre, Leigh. I have also really enjoyed the Emma Watson videos. The ungrateful behavior of her and Radcliff has been really annoying to me. It is really humorous what little Peter Pettigrews they became…especially compared to Tom Felton (Malfoy). I have not known him to say anything critical about Rowling’s views. His PR person taught him well how to handle “gotcha” moments. And possibly, he just doesn’t have the same sense of entitlement that two of the golden trio do.

          6. Leigh says:

            Hi Dani,
I’m not a fan of people who don’t show gratitude and feel entitled to say and do whatever they want. That’s why I’m thoroughly enjoying Mr. Tudor’s tongue lashing of Emma.

          7. Jade says:

I agree too Dani. I thought it was ironic that “Malfoy” seems the most level headed and grateful for his good fortune too.

          8. Jade says:

Thanks HG, I picked up on you saying about your changed appearance. Yeh, good idea re details but that’s a lot of self absorption on her part!

          9. Jade says:

            Hi HG

A few other things on your psychopath video that I mentioned today:

            1. Thank you for whatever your “real job” is. I do believe that you are shielding us and that your N/P status helps you do that.

            2. Do you ever wish with your real job and here on the blog that you could get more direct praise? It seems ironic (though fitting for a psychopath I guess..) that both are quite clandestine. I guess the P part of you suits that bit but the N isn’t getting the adulation or recognition..?

            3. When you described seeing micro expressions, reading people well etc, I realise I do too and have always done so but didn’t realise.. because of trauma and learned fawning and people pleasing behaviours always doubted myself. Now that I’m much less trauma bonded, I can feel this gift coming back.. a lot! It’s a bit spooky sometimes… I just wanted to mention that I think empaths and psychopaths might have a lot in common in that sense, the difference is emotional empathy. What do you think?

          10. HG Tudor says:

            1. Noted.
            2. I do gain recognition, I do not need it on the scale of a pure narcissist. I also recognise that if I did so, it would get in the way of me executing what I must do and that would affect my need for control which is more important.
            3. People can read people and do so for differing reasons, driven by differing requirements.

          11. Jade says:

Thank you HG, that all makes sense and yes, I understand a pure narcissists need for attention would be different and understand that logically you see it has to be this way.

I appreciate what you said re micro expressions. hearing you sharing about how you read people in the series about meeting the other ones wife, made me realise I do read people quite well which was validating. I r often thought I’d do a background check on potential partners if I was single again.. very wise, though I know you do it for different reasons.

          12. Jade says:

That’s a good point about unaware empaths too Leigh. It’s a bit scary how we’re kind of “programmed” till we get out of the matrix, isn’t it? But we can get out luckily.. 😅

          13. Dani says:

I agree…the tongue lashing was glorious… And hearing Mr. Tudor recite Rowling’s brutal, but not cruel, smack of correction to Watson…perfection!

          14. Dani says:

            Mr. Tudor,

Regarding the self centered behavior of TOW and not recognizing you…

I know you were playing a different role, but it still boggles my mind that she didn’t recognize you. Your voice is so distinct, stentorian and chocolaty velvety…you have a good height to you. You’ve said six feet tall, if memory serves…Blue eyes…which I imagine to be completely gorgeous, and capable of stopping an empath in her tracks in a single intense moment, her heart racing…I can imagine it…I can imagine a few different scenarios of meeting you…I wonder how your followers do imagine meeting you…if it was unplanned… Just happened…

I’m sure there is much you can do to disguise yourself. And I have no doubt of your skill in playing or manipulating. Your confidence and competence and skill…it’s all very captivating. It’s like you have a palantír that lets you see all…and you let us glimpse at it.

          15. Jade says:

It’s interesting about the self absorption of this one’s wife, Dani. HG, I would have thought her narcissism would be always on the lookout for threats to her control but she does seem extraordinarily self absorbed. I’m guessing your psychopathy plus higher executive functioning wouldn’t allow that to happen to you.

          16. Dani says:

Yes, Jade. The self absorption of TOW…
If you imagined yourself in the presence of the Ultra, the person occupying the majority his laser like focus… How would you imagine it going?

        2. Leigh says:

          Hi Jade,
“It’s a bit scary how we’re kind of “programmed” till we get out of the matrix, isn’t it? – This comment reminded me of a conversation I had with Mr. Tudor a couple of years back.

Here’s a link to my original question but its a little bit further down in the conversation. The conversation isn’t long though.

Yes, its programming. I used the word conditioning but its the same.

          1. Jade says:

Thanks for finding that Leigh. It’s an interesting train of thought isn’t it? I’ve been thinking about it more since we chatted about it and how even “aware” empaths, norms or narcs/Ps still only have a narrow field to play on and as your reply from HG shows, we can still be conditioned. When I first started commenting here and was hyper aware of how I was commenting with HG I noticed that I’ve definitely been very conditioned to avoid challenging narcs and to provide fuel/praise, by my mum. I could kind of see myself doing it. I’ve been aware before in other interactions in life but it just seemed clear here. There’s lots of layers to the matrix!

          2. Leigh says:

            Hi Jade,
I have an empath friend that I talk to all the time about this stuff and we describe it as peeling the layers of an onion. I feel like there’s still so much that we don’t realize. I’ve been conditioned my whole life to act accordingly. Now the task becomes, how do I change that conditioning?

      2. Jade says:

        Hi HG

I’ve been learning more from you on psychopathy this morning thanks to Leigh flagging up the other YT channel you run. I watched this one:

        https://youtu.be/2zxSteTGIKw?si=YqM3wviJsdPBTvc1

It was fascinating about the moon landing. I also found it interesting about Ps getting in “first” and being very decisive. Though I can get very anxious and am on meds for that too, I’ve always done things very quickly, make decisions fast etc.

as I’m healing I’m slowing down a bit as I think it’s something related to narcissistic parents and having to be quick so as not to miss out on “good stuff” and a bit of a trauma response though I think I naturally think fast. I think this has had an impact on my nervous system re chronic pain and fatigue. It helped me understand you more. I’ve got to say though your logical side is much more useful I find compared to the contradictory behaviour of pure narcs!

    2. Leigh says:

      Hi Jade,
If you’re looking for videos that are a little more lighthearted but still informative, Mr. Tudor’s interviews with Doug Kramer are fantastic. Here’s one of the many videos he did with Doug:

I also love the Tea with Sam videos for the same reason. Here’s one to get you started.

      1. Jade says:

Leigh, you’re a treasure trove of HG goodness, thank you! 😃

I had watched one of Doug’s videos with HG re cults a while ago (sooo good) so will def watch more and haven’t yet listened to Tea with Sam.. it’s now on my list. The title of the video you posted (“do we need narcissists?” looks interesting and timely re the sociopath thread we’re also commenting on).

  4. Leigh says:

    Mr. Tudor,
As you asked, I’m playing the videos over and over again. Every little bit helps!

    1. HG Tudor says:

      Much appreciated, Leigh.

      1. Contagious says:

        Good evening HG:

Watching Monster number one on Netflix. A long series. While it doesn’t start with Jack the Ripper but with Ed Geins who killed 200, was abused by his mother but was schizophrenic with obviously an alter as a psychopath if not more. Not all schizophrenics are devoid of empathy. Sybil a severely traumatized child never killed. Then we have Bunzos who liked wearing women’s shoes and jilled men. Dahomey was also into wearing women’s clothes but killed mostly men. Then you have Ted Bundy, the most interesting as highly intelligent and educated, no signs of abuse really certainly not like the others but he targeted women.

1.These serial killers had an obsession with women. Do you think had their families supported and nurtured their sexual identity it would have mattered?

2.we will get to Lizzie birding in later series and another but why is it serial killers are mostly men?

        3. And given their hatred of women, would you say these men had mommy issues or were they born that way or both? I say both except Bundy. There is no evidence of maternal abuse. I think Bundy was born that way

        4. Which leads me to this: I think narcs more than psychopaths are born that way brain differences that can get worse with abuse. Agree?

        5. And narc psychopaths a combo but it begs the question being introduced today. Is it a form of schizophrenia? Childhood defenses where you can’t truly perceive reality?

        I would love your take!

Great series btw hard to watch.

        1. HG Tudor says:

          1. The differences in the make-up of these individuals means a lengthy response with regard to this question which is outside the ambit of the comments section.

          2. Testosterone whereby mean are more aggressive and physically imposing compared to women. Also, mean have more instances of finding sexual gratification through the assertion of dominance which results in killing, compared to women. Plus women nag more, so it is inevitable (that was a joke).

          3. Again, this would necessitate an analysis of various individuals, but not everything it to do with mummy issues.

          4. I do not understand what you are referring to when you write “narcs more than psychopaths are born that way”.

          5. Perceive whose reality? There is no objective reality.

          1. Contagious says:

            Thank you HG!

Yes, you are correct each is complex.

Maybe Mummy issues is not the correct term but Ed Geins said he was obsessed with mommy ( abuser by father and mother) and crossed dressed, Ed killed a bunch of nurses and crossed dress and got breasts, Dahlmer killed boys but crossed dressed. Most serial killers are men who target women. There seems to be a hatred in famous serial killers towards women or a confusion about their identity ie male v female. I just wondered why the sexual component whether male v female in identity or killing women mostly. They had a term for it for Ed Geins saying he b came a woman not because he wanted to be but essentially to eliminate women. Ed later said to the FBI he just missed his ( crazy mother).

            1. Do you see anything beyond testosterone and men being physically stronger in the serial killers confused about identity or not and killing women? Maybe it’s a case by case situation but to me the SEX issue is obvious. I see a hatred. Suppressed. But a genuine ill will towards women in one way or the other.

            2. Narcs are chameleons are psychopaths?

            3. Why did Geins, Dahlmer and Ed cross dressed but kill women?

            4. Is it again a case by case basis?

            5. Look on streaming. So many series on serial killing. Why?

I will tell you that my interest is that psychopaths especially serial killers are so different. Almost like another species. Whereas I was married to a ASPD, he was not. He was predictable and routine, nothing aroused him to great highs which I found weird, it was all money, money, money.

            6. But what percent of serial killers are there? Must be like less than 1% of all psychopaths?

            7. Narcissists do kill as your analysis of Letby demonstrated but my guess is more serial killers are psychopaths than narcs? Per Hare 20-30% of psychopaths line our prison. A high number considering their overall population

            8. Do you agree?

My questions are aimed at understanding serial killers/ psychopaths better. Probably because our streaming services are filled with them and as to psychopaths to understand my child’s father better.

But as I have said he has been a decent dad. She loves him. All of his 3 children do. He shows up, is stable ( and rich) but it begs to difference why a psychopath could be a ( solid sort of) family man not any worse than a normal. Ideas?.

          2. Contagious says:

            Good evening HG:

            1. Don’t you think there is objective evidence of reality? Ie the cops found a beheaded women in Ed Geins barn but he disagreed it was there. Lots of evidence of Letbys crimes but she denied them. And I think you said her narcissism would make her believe her denial. As to Letby: do you think she was aware she was killing the babies at the time she killed them?

            2. Or Are you saying Letbys denial was false? She knew she did it but lied? I always felt a narc can’t see reality at times. It’s subjective. It’s one or the other, either Letby knew what she was doing to the babies or did not. When she was accused, she either lied or was delusional to reality. What is your position about Letbys awareness of objective reality or the evidence that she killed the babies after she was caught and convicted? ( see I see a delusion or a liar)

            3. Psychopaths are different. Allegedly they can see objective reality , they know what they do, but don’t care about rules, laws, norms. Ok Ed was schizo so he might not be a good example but once on meds and treated he helped the cops find Ted Bundy and he had a good clear recollection of what he did down to the type of hacksaw he used to behead his victims. So he dealt in reality at some point. I call it objective reality meaning there was evidence of what occurred to define what happened. It could be case by case, Ed was schizophrenic, but in general are they aware of their actions?

            3. What about after they are caught? Are they aware or do they just lie?

            3. What bothers me and jurors and the legal system is often this:

Take even schizo Ed Geins, he functioned, planned killings, bought a hacksaw, dated, ate, babysat, hid his crimes with intent but was apparently oblivious to the crimes such as cutting off a head of a woman and her body parts and that is often the stance. They claim they were insane at the time of murder, that didn’t know what they were doing when they killed. Yet they methodically plan, often stalk, and aren’t drooling unable to care for themselves in their own, well you know what I am saying. That’s why in modern day, they never win, the death penalty or life in prison.

But do have an understanding on this issue: how is it that serial killers can plan, function, plot but they are apparently “ insane” don’t know what they are doing when they kill, or don’t know right from wrong?

Are they in a subjective reality or delusion or do they lie in general?

            4. If your mother did not cause your psychopathy is it your understanding you were born with it? Hate points to the brain differences at birth.

            5. Did your mother increase or affect your psychopathy. Literature shows an unstable environment can aggravate psychopathic ttraits. Make them worse.

            6. Just curious as it has often been the case and even lawsuits saying pornography, violence in TV and in gaming create psychopath killers, do you agree?

            7. Does the same, seen No. 6 have an influence.

            8. The movie suggests and it’s common rhetoric that the Nazi magazines influenced Ed Gein in his killings. And it suggests other psychopaths revered him, some evidence of that in the letters, that lead to them to kill.

But do you believe violence in a culture whether by hard core porn, Nazi mags, tv shows and violent video games actually creates psychopaths to kill?

Me? I see a psychopath with a goal to get notoriety might kill and look to others before him.

But in general, most psychopaths who are almost men who kill, to me have an issue with the opposite sex, might not be mommy issues although some, but with male v female and it appears they want to control, dominate by murder. They are not usually straight men looking to kill male dogs or goats or cats. It is human women whether they dress like one or not. In Dahmers case it was young boys but he dressed like a woman. Again some sort of male v female thing I don’t get.
            9. Do you?

But with psychopathic serial killers it’s almost always women that kill

            10. Any idea why?.

I guess we know that he basics. Most psychopaths are men. Why? No idea. Most psychopaths admit kill. Different goals. Those that do kill are usually men. But serial killers… tiny percent… an interesting bunch often with co-morbidities. In general, they particularly hate women. From Jack The Ripoer to modern day.
            11. Why the serial murder cross dressers?

            12. Are psychopaths different than narcissists in this regard or are they equally sexually fluent? I have not heard you say psychopaths are sexually fluent, mine wasn’t. A cheater but 100% straight.
