So much truth there. In my narc parents’ eyes, they own me.
“Parents always tell their children what to do. You will not change that. You are my daughter. You belong to me and you cannot change that..”
I guess it is more like: “I created you, I have all the right to do and say whatever I want to you. You are mine” Yuk!
This is certainly my narc mother’s mind set. Indeed.
The narc parent especially owns their children. Children are just another appliance to be used and abused.
It sounds like a scifi book or movie. I think that’s all I feel comfortable saying, except yes.
