  1. Yes, this. One of several stupid arguments I had with the narcissist. At a social event one evening, he took me aside and told me: “Stop smiling at everyone so much.” I told him he was being ridiculous – that I was a friendly person, why wouldn’t I smile? Then he told me I was being flirty-friendly, which I wasn’t and ticked me off, so we had a very tense night. Back at his house later, we made up the way we always did. Repeat loop, whatever next argument he provoked. Massive control freak.

  2. I smiled at an old, sick looking alcoholic and he was jealous!

The good-looking, full of testosterone: “I can have each woman I want” was jealous of that old man. What a horrible insult against me and what a horrible image of himself my personal narc presented that moment.
I could not believe it. I lost a lot of respect that evening.

  3. Even their own false perception we smiled or glanced another’s way.

    So much hatred and jealousy.

It all rises to the surface with ignited fury.

HG, do you often feel jealousy towards your IPPS?
If so, what ignites it most of all?
