I have been struggling with this one for a very long time:
Is there ANYTHING we can say/do: a sentence, a word, a gesture, anything that could make an impact on a child who is victimized by a Narc parent?
I was walking down the street the other day, and I overheard a mother talking to her child: “Stop whining!, stop feeling sorry for yourself all the time”. Her tone of voice was full of vitriol, hatred and disgust.
I felt terrible, asking myself if there is anything (a grain of sand) that I could have contributed, anything of substance for the child.
Is there? What do you think, HG?
The dad of my daughter said often (and he meant it seriously) “Oh man, I am really handsome.” Then he sighed before he continued with “Do you know that it is a curse to be handsome like I am?”
:-))
Haha !
My ex said his constant erection was a curse… he of course blame it on me ( as everything was my fault) … and it was probably the only thing that I didn’t mind taking the blame for 😄.

🎶”Oh lord it’s hard to humble,
when you’re perfect in every way””
I can’t wait to look in the mirror
Cause I get better looking each day 🎶
I don´t know unfortunately how to write the really laughing smiley, only the smiling smiley 🙂
“Ps … was he ?”
My sister once said he is good looking, but I can not do anything with the outside of a person. I am scratching mildly at the autistic spectrum, but I am too empathetic to belong really into that spectrum. I forget faces, and when I look people in the eyes I have the feeling I see too much (and when I look down too little – no, a joke, or not, I can´t remember 🙂 ).
He is tall, very slim, leans a bit forward when he goes, with a long face. It looks like stress being him. He loved mirrors and talked a lot about how good he looks every day and who talked to him about how good looking he is. I always did not know what to say then because he could have looked like a donkey I would have got together with him.
My mother in law. She brags about her modelling years and how every man wanted her. Now she critiques others on their looks. Shes knit picked my sister in law so much. You need to lose weight. Put on some make up you look like an old woman. Youre letting yourself go. Your clothes look frumpy. The list goes on and on. Yet you cant say anything about her or it turns into tears. She needs to lose weight. Her hair doesnt suit her grey and its thinning horribly. Id never dream to say these things bc theyre hurtful and unnnecessary. She needs to look in the mirror before judging others looks.

I don’t know.
Should have asked her if she was talking to herself.

🙂 In the case of my ex-narc there was no mentionable curse down there.

Mr Tudor,
At the end of the day …. is it your parentals influence or your your own internal mechanism …. curious ??
Both.
Which is more dominant ?
Dear Mr Tudor,
My mother has said this and still does!
Did your mum say the same?
I appreciate the robot doll btw, just keeps repeating! 🤢
Words to that effect, yes.
Tell me more
What?!
Jesus – my boys would piss themselves laughing if I ever said this to them!
