Is it bad that I now – almost – view the giving of empathy as transactional as you view the receiving of fuel?

HG, can you imagine how truly brilliant you would have been (and you are super human anyway) had you not had to devote most of your time pursuing and obtaining fuel.
I know you say it’s necessary but truthfully now, is it not exhausting. Don’t you ever think to yourself, ‘Awww, i could be writing now’ but instead you’re out and about pursuing fuel.
Is it at times not utterly frustrating. Like an addiction that just cannot be overcome.
You are a prolific writer anyway but can you imagine what might be achieved if you could self fuel?
Love this book btw. I’ve read many times. Along with my absolute favourite ‘Chained.’ Life changing.
