There is a new series on Paramount + based on the film “Fatal Attraction” with the same name. It is very good. I recommend it, would be interesting to see HG analyse the characters.

Have you seen Netflix’s Obsession? I’m two episodes in and it’s got the potential to be quite good.
The female lead ‘Anna’ is very much how I imagine a borderline to be. Given HG’s thoughts on borderlines, she’s a narcissist but somewhere along the line I think I still view them slightly differently. I think it’s the overt acting out that makes me see borderline. That plus a certain vulnerability, but not the Mid Range ‘woe is me’ vulnerability.
Richard Armitage is the male lead. Have to say, there’s something about Richard, so on that basis I’ll probably stick with it! Worth a watch.
TS, I suspect Heidi (AKA lovemrthotnton) also sees that ‘something’ in Richard Armitage.
There is a recorded version available of him in an Old Vic production of The Crucible and it’s excellent, if this is anything you (or Heidi) might be interested in.

I found the suggestion of Anna giving up all of her power to him interesting. By appearing to give up her power, she gained all of the power in the relationship.
I’d love to have been a fly on the wall overhearing your conversation with Mr Bubbles as you were both watching it haha!
I thought it was a clever depiction of a female somatic narc in action. I find it far easier to visualise the male somatic narc but it stands to reason a female somatic could use a different approach.
Was there much sex in it? I didn’t notice 😂😂

Mr Bubbles and I do tend to have a bit of a swipe at the characters when we watch these interesting scenarios particularly in regards to narcissism haha

Me too, I analyse characters on tv automatically. I’ve always done that really, never a ‘passive’ viewer. I’m worse now, I find myself grumbling when characters are portrayed as being narcissists or psychopaths and then they do something that just doesn’t fit the profile.
I can’t watch Cleopatra. Jada irritates me so much I won’t give her my view haha! I think Cleopatra has tanked but it garnered a lot of controversy so I’m sure Jada will be readying her high horse and happily drinking up the fuel. Will Smith’s ears are probably bleeding by now. Poor guy.
