To celebrate the month of my birth, it has been suggested that readers donate to the fund by way of a birthday gift to me which will also help the many people who require assistance with narcissism and narcissists. A kind and noble suggestion, so kudos to FYC for the suggestion and a thank you to those who have already donated since the suggestion was made. There are people waiting to be assisted, such is the demand on the Angel Assistance Fund and since it is my birthday month and I am feeling generous I have agreed that whatever is donated to the fund from 2nd-6th September 2019, I will equal and therefore double the contribution to the fund. I know several readers have already very generously done this for people previously and this was the catalyst for the creation of a standing fund.

I must admit I have pondered over the thought that HG works so hard At not revealing his identity… yet… reveales one of the most defining part of a persons identity… his voice…. far more people could identify him from his voice then they could Ever identify a random 40 something man…. as there are many men in their forties. But only one voice.
Basically I’m hinting at
The fact I beleive his voice to be fake. Whether it is or it isn’t… I guess doesn’t matter.

I’ve always admired the way narcs answer questions… I need to get better at this myself. I’m sure you can see how I get myself caught in endless cycles of challenge fuel/punshiment with a narc. Now that I know what narcissism is I hope that will get better…. I assume not challenging any statements they make is what would be best for me?
(I’m not talking about this conversation but just generally)
Going no contact with narcissists is what is best for you.
I have done that. A few times in my life. But when they are in your office it just is what it is sometimes. I don’t see any reason to leave if they are not above me or I’m not romantically involved. I can’t run away every time there is a narc or two at work or I’d be jobless and homeless. They’re everywhere. So I meant more in those instances… just best to ignore then call them out on a lie I suppose.
Empath. When I learned that Narcissists run everything we say through filters first, and then process it, including determining whether or not we are painted positive or negative at the time, and whether or not what we say is pro or against their primary aims, and then on top of all that, the games are always being played? Plus, they are hypervigilant and suspicious and paranoid about whatever we say? I became speechless around both the Narcissistic(s) and the Narcissists at my job. I did not make an effort to not be gregarious with them any longer. I did not make a determination to not communicate with them. I did not make an effort to watch what I said. My natural desire to communicate with them just died its own death, once I learned how they listened to our words. That filtering that they do is just too much to go up against just to converse with someone, for my personality. Too overly sensitive. Too ready to misunderstand the point. Too problematic, and for what? I just left off from talking to them without making much of an effort. And, at end, I just left altogether. Even the way one says hello can trigger them? Who wants to be processed through a million filters just to talk to someone? I do not.

empath007, there are voice filter apps to apply to your voice with which you can as it were “photoshop” your voice easily make it sound anyway you want. I believe even skype has a voice filter feature.
I think we are hearing HG’s voice albeit thoroughly “photoshoped” so no one who knows him in real life will connect the darth vader persona we know from his video’s to his true identity. And of course all of us who know the darth vader persona, we would never recognize his real voice even if he spoke to us directly. I am guessing the real HG has a much higher voice than darth vader.
Hm I am kinda letting out your secret here HG, well, if this post passes moderation that is. Although I figure there are a lot of smart people on the blog here, so this particular secret may not be that secret.
Anyway, I think there is one element of HG’s voice that is thoroughly authentic: his British accent.

Well of course it is your voice HG, you’ve created it so it is yours. You are able to shape yourself in the image of what you need to be and you are very good at it.
You read the needs and desires of us your audience with amazing accuracy and become the one who provides us with what we want. That one is a creation, a work of your art, we know that full well and yet we cannot help but feel genuinely grateful to you. I am in awe of your dedication and skill in this.

In 4 years there must be people in your personal life who have come across this sight and be able to identify you… your voice would be the main identification…

Not bothered by the fact those in real life know you run this blog? And you’re more concerned about your image to the general public based on what you do?
You don’t need to answer that if you don’t want. I clearly have too much time on my hands today and I don’t even really know why I’m so curious about it.
But to me it doesn’t make logical sense you’d expose your voice with privacy concerns.

empath007, it is always good to keep an open mind and ask questions to further one’s understanding, don’t let that prevent you from trusting your own instincts when you feel something does not quite add up. We empaths have often excellent instincts but sometimes we end up doubting ourselves too much 🙂
You actually have poor instincts owing to emotional thinking. You are far better served using evidence and logic than instinct.
I disagree. It is the emotional thinking that blinds the instinct. For example instinctvely felt very uneasy around the narc when we first started hanging out. I told people I believed he had bad intentions with me. The people I told basically laughed it off… it was because of those responses and my ET telling me “oh you’re probably making it up” that I then IGNORED my natural instinct.
An empaths instinct can be incredibly powerful. Some of us can literally feel what other people feel. I think to mock our instinct is a mistake. And instinct and emotional thinking are two separate things…

Very good at reading body language and getting subtle cues from people the same way you are. And I kid you not my body became tense around the narc at first. When I told my concerns to others they did not take me seriously. And then I didn’t take me seriously. That’s when ET took over.
Once I was in a situation where I shook someone’s hand who wanted a job (I hire people) the INSTANT I shook his hand in my head I said “no… I won’t be hiring you you’re trouble”… I later googled him… only to find out the police were looking for him… there is no other explanation for these kinds of examples… then instinct. It’s powerful and it’s real. And empaths would be wise to not ignore insitinct or logic… that dam ET really is corrupt as you say.

And I are using logic and reasoning in our assessment. It may very well be completely incorrect and inaccurate (I don’t dispute that) But it is still a theory based in logic.

Someone who is concerend about identity exposure (of which there is evidence too all around the blog also your IG account) would also be concerend about exposing thier voice. That is not an emotional thought process.

I accept that what you are stating with regard to my voice and identity is applying logic, to the extent that you have so much logic available.
Your proposition is – since HG guards his identity, would he not also do so with regard to his voice and therefore he must be the case that he alters his voice.
So far, so good, however let us add more information :-
1. My voice is an excellent one in terms of tone, accent and depth. Not to use it would be remiss. It is excellent (many people have commented as such) for my narration and also in consultation. It has oft been commented on favourably in “real life” also.
2. The chances of someone who knows me in real life finding me here are slim. Whilst my work is of prominence within narcissism, my work is not for example read by hundreds of millions every day around the globe.
3. Even if someone who knows me in real life came here, they may not make the link that HG Tudor is the person they know. Doubt would enter the equation. In the same way various people have asked, for example whether I am Hugh Grant (I am not), it works the other way also.
4. Even if someone did recognise me, would they make mention of it? Nearly all would know better than to irk me.
5. Nobody who knows me in real life has made the link. That is a fact.
The advantages of using my voice are greater than the risk posed with regard to my identity. Therefore the voice you hear when I undertake consultations, when I am interviewed and in my Youtube videos (the early videos actually do distort my voice owing to poor mic quality) is my really voice.
This is a fact. There is nothing more to add.

I don’t doubt my believe (HG is the one who taught me that 🙂) but I don’t see the need to debate with HG or make it an ugly scene. I respect him and his position, this is his site and I’m not here to argue with him. I can’t help but challenge things at times… it’s my nature. I ask questions. And I’m thankful for the practice in not getting worked up but standing firm with my own position and not always feeling the need to defend it to death.

Ha ha. It’s not that it matters whether he uses his real voice or not. That is entirely up to him. I just would like some basis of understanding as to why that would be the choice if protecting his identity is important to him.
A leg shot (which is delicious btw) or an arm shot are not as identifiable as a voice.

I have consulted HG on at least five occasions. I can confirm that the person in the audio recordings is indeed the person who I have spoken to on the phone.

When you speak to someone on the phone / skype, unless you know them personally, there is no way of knowing whether the other side is using a voice filter.
The simple fact is, we have no way of knowing for sure whether HG is using a voice filter or not. I was just making some inferences based on facts we do know.
We know HG is smart and cares about keeping his true identity hidden. We also know he has NPD, he is someone who is extremely skilled in creating facades, personas, and alter egos. Doing the math, I would say it would only be the smart thing to use a voice filter in his situation.
Also, the fine print in the deal with HG is that he has agreed to be truthful about his NPD because that serves his purpose, this does not necessarily include being truthful about the facts of his personal life. I think we can safely assume that he will not be telling the truth about anything that will compromise either his true identity or his façade. Remember, the HG we know is a creation, a work of his skillful art, and a very convincing one at that. We know this and yet it is difficult to get your head around it, such is the power of the illusion.

Now, I talk to HG about not necessarily his view (though that is fascinating) its about MY worldview. His voice is HIS voice. There. I’m not on a HG retainer. I know what I know. He is Ronseal.
He isn’t using a filter. Hes far too smart to open himself up to that silly accusation.

You seem angry on HG’s behalf as if I have insulted him. I don’t think I did, at least that is not the impression I get from him. In any case I would find it difficult to have a conversation with someone- speaking-on-HG-behalf about HG 🙂
Your experience is different from mine and your assessment is your own to trust, as is mine. I don’t see any problem with that. This blog accommodates many different views side by side which is what makes it a valuable resource.

I have come across a little string but I was cross. You see, I play the violin and I have near perfect pitch. Voice filtering software is not that good. You see the human voice has certain natural frequencies, harmonics why give voice a warmth.
I’m pretty sure that filters distort some of these harmonics by changing their pitch. It doesn’t sound right.
His voice sounds ‘right’.

I have no problem in accepting your statement that it is your real voice HG. I am making an inference based on my current knowledge, which is limited obviously since I did not stand next to you while you record your videos.
I hope you will allow me to make the following brief point in response to your post and to clarify why I would probably not be putting any money on your voice being the same voice you use with matrinarc.
Please note that I have not disputed the excellence and effectiveness of your voice. Your voice is extreme effective, in fact, it is perfect for its purpose; as if it was designed for it. That in itself has for me all the hallmarks of the picture perfect illusions your kind is known for. Even aside from preserving anonymity, the use of facades, shifting identities and masks is the default modus operandi of your kind. Real and reality is not what your kind does, you skew, distort, augment reality to fit your purpose. I find it difficult to see why this case would be an exception and you would, like an honest man, go for “real” with all its imperfections.
From what I can see you have nothing to gain from exposing your real voice and much to loose from making yourself vulnerable by such exposure. Vulnerability to the narcissist is like the holy cross to the devil; deadly and something to be avoided at all costs. I am afraid the odds are against you HG to convince me at least that you are an honest man in this. But then again, I am just making inferences based on limited information and could easily be proven wrong
In any case, your voice is most charming and sexy, I would not want to listen to your articles being read in any other voice.
