I guess I did NA. And thank you for your non-judgmental response in relation to that. I’m all prepared to be told off for letting my ET get the better of me, and I literally walked past the damn thing about three times, touched it, picked it up, put it down, walked away, went back, read it again. Arrrgh!! But now that I have it, I’m glad you think my burning ritual may be an appropriate way of dealing with it and purging that chapter from my life. The item I intend to place in it is an element of ever presence and one I have not been able to jettison yet. But the box with all its symbolism gives me the perfect manner in which to dispose of both. There is definitely something about burning rituals that speak to a finality and possibly a more primitive aspect of our nature. In this case I would think of it as a purifying fire. Burning up the last of what is left of that relationship. Setting me free. Binning something just wouldn’t have the same effect! And recycling, while ethical, would still not have the powerful impact of seeing the last of him go up in flames …

I think I broke no contact in the 6th sphere today. I bought a wooden trinket box with a word emblazoned on the lid which was the code word for mine and the narcissist’s relationship. As soon as I saw it, I thought of him. I hadn’t seen it written on something in a permanent style like this and I have something else of his which I thought to put in it. Maybe I can create a little funeral pyre at some stage and put the box on top to burn up those memories once and for all. The code word was my creation, so perhaps its destruction will be up to me as well. Arrrgh! I hate the fact I did that.

So in essence you bought a little coffin? Seems appropriate to purging that chapter in a symbolic burning ritual (along with any other items related to that person that cause ever presence).
