Decipher the narcissist. The narcissist survives by confusing and perplexing all around him or her. The narcissist operates in a different reality where what he or she says will means something entirely different to what you perceive. This results in argument, pain and a lack of understanding, with victims unable to comprehend why the narcissist behaves in this manner. Good book – useful guide in explaining what narcissists mean.
Deciphering comes in all methods of communication, of which, I am blessed to have learned the various ways information can be deployed. Somophore (with red flags 😉); a picture can speak ‘a thousand words’, a story can invoke images in the mind; sign language sometimes require no spoken words needed (very useful across the room in ie a loud & noisy pub); body language; facial expressions; the way someone looks at you; the way someone touches you….
even spreadsheets & data bases are ‘communicating’ information…. how ridiculous of an org having only 5 people who can do spreadsheets but no databases!!!
