This is a man dealing in substantial amounts of cash and credit card fraud and yet he uses none of it, as you say HG, to garner future assets as a means of retaining his financial gain or making future profits. He largely just spends up big – living la vida loca (haha) – and with no thought to the future. “Hand to mouth” is a good description and this confirms to me a level of impulsivity on his part. He’s only thinking far enough ahead to his next meal, next flight, next hotel. No doubt he has multiple sources to rely on, but seems to be in the habit of running them dry or simply allowing the game to be up. Why?
This is where the watch comes in. It is not a genuine piece, yet he could have easily afforded to buy such a watch and use it as a further means of manipulation to show that he is genuine and able to afford such an item. It’s a small thing in the bigger picture, but his sense of entitlement and grandiosity means he doesn’t care that he is found out. These people are there to be used and like the rubbish he considers them to be, thrown away at his convenience and with no sense of loss on his part. He could hold onto them with very minor changes to his ‘operation’ but that doesn’t happen.
He is definitely not a Greater based on this. I did not include Elite in my guess, though had thought to originally. Perhaps being schooled in the finer things like diamonds, etc, makes him Elite. I’ll leave that thought there for now, but it’s a possibility. UMR Elite narcissistic psychopath could be the outcome. Looking forward to getting the answer.

The watch in this episode got to me.

It amused me to observe the Empath Supanova image, for the House of Tudor shop towards the end of the premieres.
Any chance that Simon is not a one-man operation?
