What’s Your Emergency?

Two different voicemail messages.

Message One.

“Hi it’s me,  I am not able to come over tonight. I am not feeling too good. I know you were cooking dinner as well and I am sure it will be very good but I really am not well. I had hoped I would have caught you as I should imagine that you are preparing the food about now. Maybe you have been really organised and you are in the shower instead. Anyway I know it is late but there it is I did not plan to fall ill. I know you will be disappointed as you told me how much you were looking forward to spending some time together and how you wanted to make a special meal. I had even gone and bought that wine you said that would go so well with the meal. I just about managed to struggle through work. I had to really because I had to ensure that we hit the month’s targets so I battled on. We hit the targets by the way so at least some good has come of it but I have probably pushed myself too much and this is the consequence. I have had a lie down but it did not really help. I had too much in my mind and my ‘phone kept beeping. I thought it might have been you checking to see how I was so I kept looking at it but it wasn’t. Anyway, I am sure you can save the food or something. Call me when you get this message.”

Message Two

“It’s me I need you. You have to come quick. Something terrible has happened to me and only you can help me. I did not know what to do so I thought I would call you. I thought you would answer but you must be doing something else more important. Where are you by the way? You are usually in the house at this time. You need to get  to me as soon as you get this message. It is a major emergency and I need you. I need you right away and you are the only one who can help me, nobody else can. I tried your house phone but there was no answer and they said you left work an hour ago so where on earth are you? Incidentally, you need to have a word with your secretary she was not very helpful. I asked where you were and all she would say was that you had left an hour ago. She did not say where you were going or anything. She is rather rude. You should keep that in mind for her next appraisal. Please call me back the instant you get this message. It is so important I get to see you. I need your help. It is massively important. I will try again in a few minutes in case your voicemail is faulty, call me, please, call me, I need you.”

Two different calls but who made them?

  1. Are you my ex ???
Or have you hacked my phone and copied the messages he sent me??

Scarily like his messages apart from the secretary bit.

  2. Is that a trick question HG? I think it’s the same message.. the second one being the underlying subtext of the first message from the N.

  3. The first one is the message left when he had new “supply” (doing that activity that doesn’t mean anything lol). Message delivered the morning of Thanksgiving.

The second one is the message he left every 3-4 days after the harpoon to the chest was firmly implanted…….of course calling at work during a 60 hour work week and in another town….when there was no possible way to help without harming self/job/etc…. This provided him with massive manipulative power through guilt induction. I would call it yoking.

  4. I’m thinking first one is the narc second is the empath desperate for help from their partner who is obviously delivering silent treatment or off with another source or trying to secure another. The secretary is a minion covering for the narc. She’s under his spell.

  5. I would say the first one is from you. The second one is from your prey.
I would say the first one is from your prey. The second one is from you.
Very ambiguous question, hence the ambiguous answer.

  6. Both from the same person ( the narc)
First message. Fobbing off their partner because they’ve had a better offer, probably from the supply they’re lining up. Little bit of guilt tripping thrown in too.
Second message. Attention seeking, love bombing, veiled accusations and put downs all rolled into one.

      1. I love silent treatment HG, that’s my favourite !

Thing is though, because I’d ‘ended’ it due to his ‘illness’ he was giving me the ST and I didn’t even realise Hahha.

I just thought he was getting on with his illness.

And when I ended it, because of his treatment. I told him that I would not text him at all until he was through his ‘treatment’ etc unless he needed me. I was just being caring.

Thinking about it retrospectively I bet that made him implode !!

  7. The first one is from you during the devaluing stage. You are bored and do not want to come for dinner. The beginning of the discard.
The second one is you. You are low on fuel. This is the Hoover.

  8. I think the first one is the secretary leaving the message for the narc, who she was supposed to have dinner with, but felt guilty that the other woman was calling incessantly looking for the narc . The second message being one of the messages the wife or current target left for the narc, which the secretary was able to hear.

  9. I agree with Time Wasted . Same person . Discard then hoover when fuels in low supply . Been there , done that , worn the tea shirt .. Now watch me be wrong . lol x

  10. The more one knows about the games that people play, their many possible agendas, the more the mind explores, creates and imagines in general. This effectively makes for further crazy making…aka more fuel as a result as the connection/obsession is made ever stronger, as you are conditioned to incessantly question everything. I can see many possibilities and reaction seeking tactics from different viewpoints, some of which have been suggested. Please enlighten us H G

    1. Absolutely, we deliberately want you to obsess about us and try to work out why we are doing what we are doing. Without the insight I provide you have little chance of working it out as it operate in a different reality. The more you obsess the weaker you become, the more reliant on us you become and the more confused you become.

      1. Thanks to your detailed confessions of the wsys of you and your kind, it is becoming easier to see. I’ll have to keep reading to reinforce this reality and stop the many N’s in my life from affecting me negatively. It is absolutely not natural for me to see as they do, but I’m certainly learning!❤

  11. All too many triggers contained within the messages, even if I knew whose voice it was for sure on the voicemail it suceeds in distracting me from the facts. Reaction seeking behaviour whoever sent them. We do not have the benefit of hearing their voice in this scenario, so simply are left to imagine depending on our individual experience or accumulated knowledge with mind f#@%ery.
Why would you need to call someone for them to tell you again that they can’t see you;especially when they are busy dying?…other than to fill them with fuel. Starts out in “fun”, always ends in war. It will somehow be your fault etc. And end in yelling, tears etc. Doesn’t that fix everything…refering to the divine order of things in the life of a narcissist.?!
Or perhaps an angry victim making an attempt at playing games.
Perhaps a significant (or not so much) other of the narc playing games as they found out about the dinner and wish to cause issues (by sending said mail via narcs email/phone etc)
No 2 could be a narc or present or past victim, a low/no contact party related or intimately known or even a flying monkey for a narc. I have seen it with friends, family and partners on either side of the fence, so to speak. Some desperate and pulling out all stops. Some genuinely desperate as they have shut off everyone else and some being overly dramatic to seek many types of fuel. I’m getting a headache from the possibilities I have seen and heard of appearing and my imagination is reeling. *sigh*
Plz put us out if misery, sooner, rather than later H G

  12. The first is your considerate thoughtful partner, always putting herself out for other people or work, letting you know she’d prepared for the date and had really not planned this cancellation. She’s sorry that you will be making a big effort which will be wasted. The second is you demanding attention and going about it in a paranoid and intrusive way. You’re insisting on having some sort of interaction knowing it’s going to be an inconvenience – but you don’t care about that. 🙂 ?

  13. Two attempts to hoover the same Narc trying to hoover the same person? Nah…the victim tries patheticly after being discarded? Yes they do that too…

  14. Last final answer: first one the victim. .very understanding projecting and apologetic. ..
Second one the beloved NARC ♡

  15. Yes after another thought I am pretty sure :definitely second one the narc: demanding 🙂 first one the victim. If I’m wrong I haven’t learnt anything from You then yet 🙁 let me know here or on priv if I’m right with my speculations…
